That part I found interesting, because, I remember beginning the TES series with Morrowind, and can still recall the almost immediate sense of deflation and disillusionment I felt towards myriad aspects of Oblivion having played Morrowind years prior- except for the music, which was very, very good. Has some really epic combat tracks altough i didn't like some of the exploration ones, but maybe it's because i only want ambiental/melancholic music during exploration. In an old interview he mentioned that he was involved in a near-fatal car crash shortly prior to work on Oblivion and that it had significant affect on the music he produced for it. The first music mod i ever installed was Additional Music Project and i liked it. Gonna listen to Yggdrasil, Vindsvept and Dreams and Nightmares next. Fantasy music project is the most decent one, but still has a lot of tracks that don't fit the game at all.Ĭurrently listening to Enderal and i'm liking it so far, but i wouldn't install it on Skyrim because it would ruin my eventual Enderal playthrough.

I would never recommend the huge music mods like Celtic Music or Immersive music. I personally heard the complete hour of music on YouTube and would say it's even better than the original soundtrack.Still and Hun Lovaas are made by the same author and those are basically the only music mods i have installed that actually fit the game.

Notherner Diaries is made by the original composer of Skyrim, so it obviously fits the game extremely well. Instead of listing every music mod ever, see this lightly filtered list of music addons that include a bunch of things that aren't music because people are bad at categorizing mods. So, based on your experiences, are there any music expansions that play well together and are worth smashing together? Otherwise, I'll just slowly enable them individually as I work through my music list. This would be a lot easier if music mods provided demos that included 10 - 30 seconds of each song, to sample. The only ones I've seen so far are Yggdrasil, which clearly states that it's completely incompatible with everything, and Celtic Music in Skyrim, which gently suggests killing off the Vanilla music entirely. Oddly, music mod descriptions rarely contain compatibility sections, so I don't know which ones work well together. There are even some massive music merges out there with even more tracks which sometimes include tracks even from other games. So, there are a lot of Skyrim music expansions.
